The National Science Teachers Association conference brought me to Los Angeles and after two days, I needed to find some green space. Linking up MacArthur Park, Vista Hermosa Natural Park, and Whole Foods (to prep for a trip to Santa Rosa Island) defined a route for me to visit the urban wildlands of the city.
Stop One: MacArthur Park
Stop Two: Vista Hermosa Natural Park

Cool finds! I’ve only been in LA twice, but have managed to find some refreshing hikes up in the hills each time – first in Runyon Canyon, then up in Griffith Park.

Sweet image Peter- I’ve been to Griffith Park but it has been a while. When are we going to go for a hike together? 🙂
Don’t know, man. My mom moved to Prescott AZ to officially retire, but you’d better believe that I’m not done with CA yet. Still never been north of Marin County…
